have you run the loopback test on the adapters without connection to ECH

you have only to strap Rx, Tx on adapter
and use soft as"hyperterminal" or equivalent for Win 7
if adapters are recognized, then with "echo mode " disable, any key you press is returned on the pc screen
you can use for com parameters, as for ECH; so, 9600bd, 8 bits data, 1 stop bit, parity even

on one image, vcc seems to be not used (so i think you use wiring with ECH powered by the heating pump) ; maybe you can connect the pin vcc to the correct pin on ECH and test again com

an another thing is the wiring; maybe you can test with shorter wiring on TTL port (and only this connector) and with ECH powered by vcc pin on adapter ; it's not necessary to turn on ECH, in this case only decimal point is lighted

to valid the modif H26,H44,H45 you have also to turn off Ech (press >2" down arrow to turn off and the same key to turn on)
the timing should be:
modif these 3 param
turn off ECh
install com wiring with adapters
turn on Ech
start com soft
